The Graduate Diploma of Information Technology in Education (Level 7) (GDITE) will provide you with the skills and knowledge to integrate information communication technology into the classroom to enhance the teaching and learning for students.
You will learn these skills and knowledge through a variety of practical courses, which include a theoretical base, with courses being delivered face-to-face and online.
The Graduate Diploma of Information Technology in Education (Applied eLearning) (Level 7) is an online learning and teaching endorsement of the GDITE (Level 7) programme. This applied e-learning endorsement provides specialist study in online learning.

Successful completion of GDITE (Level 7) / GDITE (Applied eLearning) (Level 7) depends on students meeting the assessment requirements of eight modules, three of which are compulsory. In order to complete the Graduate Certificate of Information Technology in Education (Exit Award) students must pass a total of four modules.
The Graduate Diploma of Information Technology in Education (Level 7) may lead to employment as an Information Communications Technology Facilitator or specialist teaching positions in educational institutions.
Clear pathways to Masters level qualifications have been negotiated with the University of Waikato and credit towards a Masters qualification has been negotiated with Curtin University, Perth, Australia.
A professional teaching qualification suitable for registration as a teacher or for teaching in a tertiary institution.
Candidates are required to be working as educators in some capacity or have access to an environment in which they can practise their skills as educators.
Consideration will also be given to candidates who have no professional teaching qualification but who have evidence of satisfactory achievement of tertiary studies and experience of teaching Information and Communication Technology in an educational setting.
Candidates are required to indicate whether they have been convicted of a criminal offence as some types of criminal conviction may limit the ability to secure practicum placements and therefore complete the requirements of the programme and gain employment in the education field.
