UCOL’s Certificate in Beauty Services provides you with an introduction into the engaging world of beauty therapy.

If you're interested in pursuing a career in the beauty industry, UCOL’s one-year Certificate in Beauty Services will provide you the broad range of skills you need to get started.

You'll learn the core treatments offered in the ever-expanding beauty industry, like facials, manicures, make-up, lash tinting, waxing, and brow shaping. There is also a theory component that covers business awareness, professional conduct, systems of the body, and the theory behind the treatments you perform.

The Certificate in Beauty Services will give you the professionalism and confidence to perform treatments on clients and establish relationships.

Entry criteria

NCEA Level 2 OR

Equivalent academic achievement on a case-by-case basis OR

At the discretion of the Executive Dean

International student applicants whose first language is not English must have a General or Academic IELTS score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 (or equivalent including TOEFL).

Under 20 years of age
For international applicants under 20 years of age who do not hold NCEA, International Academic Qualifications Entry Criteria apply.
