Summary
With the National Certificate in Beauty Services (Nail Technology), you'll gain a qualification, the skills and the knowledge required to perform a range of nail services at a professional level within beauty therapy.
This nail technician course will teach you how to perform manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nail application, nail sculpture, 3D nail art, the use of equipment, products and safe operating procedures.
You’ll get to practice these skills on real clients at UCOL’s purpose-built nail salon.

Entry criteria
NCEA Level 1 OR
Equivalent academic achievement OR
On a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Executive Dean
International student applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 (or equivalent including TOEFL).
Under 20 years of age
For international applicants under 20 years of age who do not hold NCEA, International Academic Qualifications Entry Criteria apply.
