Summary

Learn essential skills to gain employment in the security industry with UCOL's National Certificate in Security (Level 2).

UCOL's security qualifications are comprised of two programmes of study and are delivered in partnership with HLC Levin. You must do these in order as follows:

National Certificate in Security (Level 2)
National Certificate in Security (Site Security) (Level 3)

UCOL's National Certificates in Security will equip you with the skills, knowledge and attributes required to work in the security industry.

Accreditation

The programme is approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989, and Universal College of Learning (UCOL) Trading as Universal College of Learning (UCOL) is accredited to teach it.

Entry criteria

Applicants must be 18 years of age before the end of the programme to be eligible for a Certificate of Approval (COA).

Applicants must undertake a criminal history check to ensure they are eligible for a Security Licence (Certificate of Approval). Not all offences will prohibit entry.

International student applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 (or equivalent including TOEFL).
