This practical programme adopts a multi-skilled approach to today’s fast moving world of broadcast television.
You will learn both theory and technical skills related to film and television concepts and production.
We have strong professional links with TV production companies and use these links to give you real-world practical production experience. This involves producing several projects throughout your year of study, including short dramas, documentaries, news programmes, music videos and commercials.
The skills and knowledge gained can lead you into other media training programmes to enhance your opportunities for employment.

Diploma and then degree studies in media (such as the Bachelor of Broadcasting Communication offered by CPIT).
What will this programme cover?
Students must have at least 36 NCEA credits at Level 2, made up of at least 12 credits in each of three subjects.
Applications from mature students (over 20) are welcome.
International students will be individually assessed to ensure you are ready for this study.
If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate English language skills equivalent to an IELTS overall band score (academic) of 5.5, with no band score less than 5.5.
