    Summary

    Programme highlights

Hospitality is a growing industry that needs qualified supervisors and managers with the skills to make strategic decisions, implement operational systems and processes as well as plan for the future and manage people.

By studying Hospitality Management at MIT, you'll learn the supervisory and management skills needed for a range of hospitality businesses. Your studies will give you the tools to manage and operate food and beverage outlets, provide front office services, manage and maintain various types of accommodation or establish new hospitality enterprises.

Build a strong foundation of practical business and communication skills with core knowledge in accountancy, management, economics, marketing and computing while specialising in your Hospitality Management major.

You'll develop an understanding of Hospitality Management and core business skills and practices, while getting hands-on experience with an industry project for a real business. If you are already working, you can do a project in your workplace.

On graduating you'll have a unique degree that not only demonstrates what you know but also demonstrates what you can do. Your skills will be relevant in both New Zealand and overseas, or in your own business.

    Career opportunities

With planning, operations and strategic skills you will bring value to supervisory or management roles in either accommodation or food and beverage enterprises. All kinds of accommodation organisations, food and beverage outlets, or small owner-operated businesses will benefit from the skills you will possess as a Bachelor of Applied Management in Hospitality Management graduate.
