The Master of Applied Finance curriculum is based on the Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) from the CFA Program and this degree will position you well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst designation – a globally respected and recognised investment credential.
The Master of Applied Finance (MAF) is designed for those who have completed a bachelor's degree in any field of study and wish to obtain a postgraduate qualification in finance.
This programme prepares you for a professional role in the financial services sector. You will gain the advanced knowledge, skills and competence to form a sound basis for financial decision making. You will apply learnt theories and financial modeling skills to conduct financial analysis in professional practice.

The papers in the Master of Applied Finance cover core professional knowledge and skills in finance, associated business knowledge and skills and a major applied research project. All papers are 15 points apart from the research project which is 45 points.
Applicants are expected to have a bachelor’s degree or graduate diploma (in any discipline) with a minimum of a B minus grade average in papers at Level 7 or equivalent, or 10 years work experience combined with a work based portfolio.
Other English Language requirements:
Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; GIE with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 64.
