What is it Like?
If you do not have previous communication experience, but have found yourself a manager of communications staff, or if you are looking at moving into a management role in the communications area, Massey’s Master of Management (Communication Management) will give you the in-depth knowledge and skills you need.
Communication management is about understanding and strategically managing all communication channels within an organisation.
This is a constantly growing area, with social media, web, text, chat and apps giving increasing numbers of ways to communicate to both an external and internal audience. A role in communication management can be very demanding and involves an ability to multi-task and constantly re-priorities. It is a vital role within an organisation, helping the effectiveness of all communication channels.
This qualification is very focused on communication management versus some of our other postgraduate qualifications that look at communications in a broader context.
You do not need previous qualifications in communication management to study a Master of Management.

For progression from Part One to Part Two, candidates must have achieved a minimum B- grade average over the Part One courses.
