WHAT IS IT LIKE?
The Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management is a one-year qualification for those who have already gained an undergraduate qualification and want to extend their knowledge to environmental management issues.
Massey’s environmental management programme reflects the growing need to protect the environment and use resources of land, water, soil, plants, and animals in a balanced and sustainable way.
What will I study?

Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management structure
You will follow a flexible programme of study consisting of courses totaling at least 120 credits. You must include Advanced Environmental Management and at least 30 credits from each of two options listed in the Schedule. You may be required to complete one or more bridging courses (188.707 and/or 188.708) should your undergraduate qualification be deficient in environmental economics or applied science.
Entry criteria
Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management requires you to have been awarded or qualified for the Bachelor of Environmental Management, or equivalent, at an appropriate level of academic achievement (normally minimum B- average over 300-level majoring courses).
If you have been awarded or qualified for the Bachelor of Science majoring in Environmental Science, or equivalent, you may also apply for this programme.
